THANK YOU, DONORS AND RIDERS
We wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for participating in our first annual Ride to Support Elite Women’s Cycling. The weather was beautiful, and it was a perfect December for a winter bike ride.
Here are the final stats from the ride:
We checked in 90 riders.
Raised $5,915.67 in ticket purchases.
Secured $11,675 in donations from Go Fund Me.
In total, this initiative raised $17,590.67 for Monarch Racing.
Your passion and dedication to this cause made the event a huge success, and we are grateful for your support. You can rest assured that your contributions will have a real impact. The team is already planning to use the funds to pay registration and race entry fees and will be sharing breakdowns of team revenues and costs as the season gets underway.
A full race calendar will be sent out to all the donors soon so you can follow us for the 2023 season.
As for next year, we are grateful to everyone who completed our survey. We are incorporating your feedback into our planning, and we want to call out a few improvements we are working on for next year:
Use Mike’s Bikes in San Rafael as a rest stop and staging area.
Recruit more ride leaders and volunteers (we will need your help!).
Organizing each of the three rides into A and B pace groups.
Provide more access and instruction regarding the GPS routes.
If you have additional suggestions, you can still submit them through our feedback form here.
We also need to recognize the following sponsor's support:
Mikes Bikes: Thank you for letting us use your facility to stage the ride and for being a key sponsor of Monarch Racing in 2023.
GU: They agreed to provide the team with race nutrition for the 2023 season, and we thank them for the samples they gave to the rides.
Mr. Dewies: We want to thank them for the free non-dairy ice cream.
Fort Point Brewery: Not only did they provide free beer, but they have also agreed to be a team sponsor for the 2023 season.
Burritos: Thanks to Dave Johnson of Berkeley Recycling for donating the Burritos.
SRAM and ZIPP: Provided the riders with free beanie hats and certificates that can be used to purchase SRAM products. They are also sponsoring Monarch Racing by providing Zipp wheelsets and discounts on bike parts for team bikes.
Poggio Labs: A key 2023 Monarch Racing sponsor and a local CRM company with avid cyclists.
Stycle Design: The talented kit designer for Monarch Racing, who also did the new Israel Premier Tech jerseys that you may have seen.

Sincerely,
The team at the Ride to Support Elite Women’s Cycling
