Monarch Racing Announces U19 Girls Road Team
Team Update
Monarch Racing is thrilled to announce our Monarch Racing Development team - a NorCal U19 girls (and non-binary riders) road team. This team will exist alongside our elite women’s Monarch Racing team (applications for our Elite team will open Sept. 1st). The team application for the U19 team is HERE.
With the success of our U19 programs, and increased interest in road racing and riding from young riders in NorCal, this program is created to provide team members opportunities to train, learn, and compete in a healthy environment with their peers under the guidance of experienced mentors and coaches.
Riders do not have to own a road bike in order to join the team, but they do need to have prior cycling experience (mountain, cross, road, etc.). Financial & equipment costs are subsidized as much as possible, and scholarships are available for those needing additional support. This is a development team aimed at teaching riders the skills necessary for safely, confidently, and (at levels applicable for each rider) competitively riding and racing road bikes.
Advanced riders (or those gaining the confidence & skills through the year) will have opportunities to race multi-day and higher level events in and outside of California. All riders will have the support and opportunities to race locally at the level reasonable for them.
There will be an info session held on August 19th, 7pm PT - https://meet.google.com/rjy-rdvk-xnq We highly encourage all interested riders & parents to attend the meeting if possible, in order to learn more about the team and hear what questions others may have.

There is limited space available on the Development team and we encourage riders to apply sooner rather than later (application closes Aug. 30th, team will be final on Aug. 31st - additional information is in the team application).
